WHAT IS THE JUDY METTEE INSTITUTE?

The Judy Mettee Institute is a professional development program for Community Partners employees, created in partnership with Great Bay Community College to honor the work, dedication and memory of Judy Mettee, an exemplary leader and longtime member of the Community Partners organization.

Attending the Judy Mettee Institute provides talented Community Partners staff with supportive education and professional development opportunities focused on helping them to succeed and excel in their job responsibilities and chosen career paths.

THE JUDY METTEE INSTITUTE OFFERS TWO COURSE TRACKS FOR COMMUNITY PARTNERS EMPLOYEES:
STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRACK

This course is designed to help front line staff enhance their confidence, professional skills and positive work ethic which directly translates to greater quality care and satisfaction for our clients. Staff successfully completing this course will receive an increase in pay of 25 cents per hour.

SUPERVISOR DEVELOPMENT TRACK

This course focuses on 3 fundamental areas:

♦ Identifying participant leadership styles to maximize effectiveness.

♦ Acquisition and development of problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

♦ Team development strategies for increased productivity.

All Judy Mettee Institute classes are held at Great Bay Community College campuses located in Milton and Rochester NH.

Community Partners celebrates the life of Judy Mettee, founding member of Developmental Services of Strafford County – now Community Partners.

Board member, staff person, volunteer and tireless advocate for persons with disabilities in our community, Judy was a true leader and visionary whose dedication and commitment exemplify the Community Partners mission. Her contributions continue to be felt every day by the clients we serve.

Community Partners is committed to honoring Judy’s legacy through our continued efforts and advocacy on behalf of Strafford County’s most vulnerable populations.
