Impaired Driver Care Management Program
IDCMP • New Hampshire
What is IDCMP?
The Impaired Driver Care Management Program (IDCMP) is for individuals who are required to complete a state-approved program following a DWI, DUI, or OUI offense.
Southeastern New Hampshire Services (SENHS), a program of Community Partners, is an approved IDCMP provider in New Hampshire. The program supports participants through all New Hampshire DWI conviction types, from intake and screening through case management and counseling.
The process generally includes intake and screening and required educational programming. When required, a substance use evaluation may identify additional counseling or treatment requirements. The steps below explain what you need to do.
How the IDCMP Process Works
Your specific IDCMP requirements are determined by your conviction type, court requirements and individual circumstances. SENHS staff will help you understand which requirements apply to you.
1 — Contact SENHS and Complete Screening
Start by contacting the SENHS IDCMP program. Staff will gather basic information, review your requirements, explain the process and help determine which program components apply to you.
2 — Complete Required Program Components
Your program will include DWI education and, depending on your individual requirements, may also include a substance use disorder evaluation, a service plan, case management, counseling or aftercare.
3 — Complete Any Additional Requirements
If additional services are required, SENHS staff will explain what you need to complete and help you understand the next steps.
4 — Complete Your IDCMP Requirements
Once your required components have been successfully completed, SENHS will complete the appropriate documentation for your IDCMP participation.
IDCMP Program Components
Your specific IDCMP requirements will depend on your conviction type and New Hampshire State Health Rule guidelines. Depending on your individual requirements, program components may include:
- Screening
- 20-hour DWI education course
- Substance use disorder evaluation
- Service plan
- Case management
- Service plan reviews, if applicable
- Aftercare counseling
SENHS staff will explain which components apply to you based on your individual requirements.
