SUMMARY:Third Annual Transition Fair - Learn About Resources For Life After High School
DESCRIPTION:This year marks the third annual Dover High School/Community Partners co-sponsored Transition Fair event. This takes place on Saturday\, October 11\, 2025\, from 9-11:30 AM at the Dover High School GYM on Alumni Drive\, in Dover\, NH. The focus audience for this event is students ages 14-22 (Transition Age) who have a developmental disability/IEP and are interested in supports after leaving high school. \nOur Fair will showcase vendors who are committed to supporting our youth in Strafford County. Students and their families\, friends and supporters are welcome to have a cup of coffee\, maybe a donut or two and engage with employers\, recreational guides and other interesting folks. SUMMARY:Many Faces of Mental Health: 99 Faces Project Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the “Opening Reception” of the Many Faces of our Mental Health: the 99 Faces Project\, taking place on Wednesday\, May 11 from 6-8pm at Dover High School. \nThe 99 Faces Project\, conceived of by artist Lynda Cutrell\, working in collaboration with partners from science and journalism\, address issues of stigma and mental illness. Large scale portraits of 33 people with bi-polar disorder\, 33 people with schizophrenia and 33 people who love them will be on display as well as three-dimensional sculptures\, video installations and paintings. The evening will feature exhibit tours by the artist\, Lynda Cutrell. \nJoining us at the event will be Judge John Broderick\, former NH Supreme Court Chief Justice and current Senior Director of Community Affairs for Dartmouth-Hitchcock\, and fierce advocate for mental health education and stigma elimination. \nLight refreshments will be served. \nClick here to register for this event.
