SUMMARY:Practical Functional Assessment with Dr. Greg Hanley\, PhD\, BCBA-D
DESCRIPTION:Community Partners presents a full-day workshop ‘Practical Functional Assessment’ with Dr. Greg Hanley\, PhD\, BCBA-D\nIn the morning session of this full-day workshop\, presented at Wentworth Douglass Hospital Auditoriums C and D\, you will learn to better and more accurately assess severe problem behavior. The afternoon session will present an effective\, parent-validated treatment process and then discuss strategies to implement the treatment. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Cost of the full-day workshop is $200. Seats are limited\, and you can register and purchase tickets online. 7 Continuing Education Units are available for BCBA’s who attend the workshop. \nIf you’d like to attend this workshop\, please fill out and submit the registration form below. You can purchase tickets below or on our main News & Events page. \nFunctional Assessment of Severe Problem Behavior: A Focus on a Safer\, Faster\, and More Effective Process\nBehavioral intervention can be effective for addressing problem behavior like meltdowns\, self-injury\, and aggression\, especially when a functional assessment of the problem is conducted to determine why the problem behavior is occurring. \nIn part one of this workshop\, through lecture\, interactive discussion\, and role play\, attendees should be able to conduct interviews to discover synthesized reinforcement contingencies that may be influencing problem behavior and then design and implement safe\, fast and effective functional analyses from the interviews to determine the legitimacy of suspected reinforcement contingencies. \nTreating Severe Problem Behavior: A Focus on Strengthening Socially Important Behavior\nThe success of treatments for problem behaviors like meltdowns\, self-injury\, or aggression is largely dependent on whether the treatment is based on the function the problem behavior serves for the person with autism. \nIn part two of this workshop\, an effective\, comprehensive\, and parent-validated treatment process for problem behavior will be described and the logistics of implementing this treatment will be discussed. \n \nDr. Hanley has been applying the principles of learning to improve socially important behaviors of children and adults with and without disabilities for just under 30 years. He is CEO of FTF Behavioral\, an international training and consulting group of researcher-practitioners who support professionals attempting to create meaningful outcomes with practical functional assessment processes and skill-based treatments. \n  \n\n\n \n \n Practical Functional Assessment workshop with Dr. Greg Hanley - Registration Form\n Event date 12/12/19 \n \n Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Address* \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n AlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific\n State\n \n \n ZIP Code\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Please indicate if you are a BCBA attending the workshop to earn the 7 available CEU's.*\n \n Yes\n \n \n No\n If you answered 'Yes' to the above question\, please enter your BCBA # here:If this training event is sold out\, do you wish to be put on the waitlist if more tickets are subsequently made available?*\n \n Yes\n \n \n No\n CAPTCHA
